The PAPPADAMS (PAPAD)
is a very light-weight dish. They are available plain or flavored
with herbs, garlic, peppercorns or chilies. Their crisp crunchiness
provides a change of texture in a meal. They can be served by
themselves or with a meal. The making of Pappadams is a specialty of
Indian cuisine. Ready-made Pappadams are easily available in
supermarkets or Asian grocers, but there are variety of pappadams
can be easily made at home, without any experience or
specialist knowledge. Make and store them in advance and cook them
as and when required.
