II Chicken Tikkas II

Ingredients:

  • 4 Chicken Breasts, cut into cubes

  • 1 tsp. Garlic paste

  • 1 tsp. Ginger, finely chopped

  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt (dahi)

  • 1 small onion, peeled and grated

  • 1 tbsp. coriander powder

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chili powder to taste

  • Butter for basting

  • Tomato, onion, lemon for garnishing

Preparation:
  • In a bowl mix together yogurt, ginger, onion, garlic paste, salt, red chili powder and coriander powder.
  • Add chicken cubes to the marinade and coat evenly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  • Skewer the chicken cubes. Roast in a pre-heated oven / grill / tandoor, turning it occasionally, for 8-10 minutes or until cooked properly, basting at least once.
  • Remove the cubes from the skewers and place on a warmed serving dish.
  • Garnish with tomato slices, onion rings and lemon wedges and serve hot with green chutney.
